How To Avoid Overeating?

Strategies to avoid overeating

While calories are not the whole picture, it has long been shown that moderate calorie restriction is a way to slow the aging process.

Here are some strategies to avoid overeating:

  • We will always pay honest attention to what, when, and why we eat. Following MyKetoPal’s 180 Food Plan will surely help us lose fat weight and keep it off.

  • We will discern between hunger and thirst -we might think we are hungry when we are really thirsty. We will drink at least a gallon of water every day.

  • Where we eat is as important as what we eat. We shall remember that we have an “eating area” in the name of efficiency or may be even a dining room with its dignified and dedicated furnishings. This area is rather a functioning part of our home than a shrine. We will try to eat every meal in this setting, tactfully sitting down.

  • KETO EatingHow we eat is as important as what we eat. We will avoid eating while we are working, standing up or walking, watching TV, surfing the Internet, playing video games, or driving.

  • We will eat slowly, and chew thoroughly, at least for 20 minutes. We will not only get deeper “food experience” from fewer calories, we will help our digestive system with the first stage of food breakdown in our mouth.

  • We will eat measured portions served on beautifully placed plates. After all, our meals are all hand prepared and require thought and effort.

  • We will always be aware of what a serving is: one serving (three ounces) of meat, poultry, or fish is about the size of a deck of playing cards. A one-cup serving of vegetables is about the size of a tennis ball. A one-ounce serving of cheese is about the size of our thumb. The portions in restaurants and on food labels are often far larger than recommended for weight management.
